Whether you’re craving a hearty brunch or a satisfying dinner, Julian's offers a menu that tantalizes the senses with its bold, comforting dishes and inventive twists on classic favorites.
Start your day or elevate your weekend brunch with crowd-pleasers like their iconic Fried Chicken & Waffles, a crispy, golden pairing that perfectly balances savory and sweet. Dive into the velvety richness of the Nova Scotia Eggs Benedict or savor the bold, spicy charm of Thee Weeping Toreador Omelet. Vegetarian and vegan diners find plenty to love here too, from the succulent Smoked Tofu Salad to the flavorful Tempeh Sausage. Authentic sides like Smoked Onion Rings with Blue Cheese Dipping Sauce and the indulgent Beer Battered Fried Pickles bring an added layer of comfort and crispy delight.
Julian’s slow-craft cocktail program is equally mouthwatering. Their famed Bloody Mary comes highly praised for its smoky, spicy kick, while their house-made mimosa selections—such as the bright and tropical Mango Mimosa and the refreshingly tart Pomegranate Mimosa—offer the perfect toast to any meal. For those who prefer a cozy beverage, their rich Hot Chocolate never fails to soothe.
As one of the reviewers, Arnab Bhowal, shared, “The hash special and eggs Benedict were both fantastic,” capturing the essence of Julian’s ability to deliver memorable, crave-worthy brunch plates that keep locals and visitors coming back. The atmosphere here vibrates with a laid-back, quirky Gen X vibe that Thomas Piper admired, describing the setting as a “solid brunch and lunch spot” with attentive and knowledgeable service that anticipates your needs without overwhelming.
Fans of Julian’s also rave about the restaurant’s inviting and bustling energy, especially on weekends. Ella A recalls the unforgettable shakshuka and even cheekily recommends checking out the creatively tiled bathroom, a small but charming detail that adds to the restaurant’s distinctive personality. Meanwhile, A J highlights the “rib sticking delish brunch fare” and the well-stocked bar, along with the huge portion sizes that satisfy even the heartiest appetites.
For those seeking dinner, Julian's delivers thoughtfully curated sides and proteins like Spicy Italian Sausage, Grilled Chicken Breast, or plant-based options like Grilled Tofu, which complement the mains beautifully. Natalie Andrade’s dining experience reflects the restaurant’s success in appealing to vegetarians, as she notes the restaurant’s unique veggie-driven dishes that didn’t disappoint during their visit.
In essence, Julian's is not just a restaurant; it’s a lively culinary experience where bold flavors and comforting favorites intersect with a welcoming atmosphere that feels like Rhode Island’s own creative nook. With its exceptional range of dishes, from savory classics to inventive vegetarian options, alongside a cocktail program that enhances every bite, Julian’s promises a feast that delights both your palate and your soul.
If you’re craving a place where laid-back vibes meet seriously satisfying American cuisine with heart and a hint of edge, Julian’s on Broadway is the spot to bookmark for your next meal out.
We were on the lookout for a great breakfast spot, and Julians came highly recommended, so we decided to give it a try. We weren’t disappointed! We arrived just 5-10 mins after it opened, and the place was already buzzing with people, which definitely speaks to its popularity. Luckily, we snagged a table right away. The dishes we tried—the hash special and eggs Benedict—were both fantastic. The vibe was lively, with a friendly local crowd enjoying their drinks and breakfast to kick off the day. The staff was attentive and welcoming too. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and if you’re visiting Providence, it’s a must-stop!
Classic, grungy brunch + more spot. Super busy on weekends. The shakshuka is so good. I will never forget it. Check out the bathroom too Lol
With a quirky gen X atmosphere, Julian's has a solid brunch and lunch menu. The three of us in my party all ordered different things and there was not one disappointment on any of our plates. Our waitress was nice and made good recommendations about portion sizes.
Rib sticking delish brunch fare. Enough vegan and vegetarian options. Great bold coffee and an excellent bar. Super excellent, detailed and humble and fast service during our visit on 7/4. The community appreciates the crew worked in a national holiday. Need say no more. Egg and entree portions are BIG. Small fries are small. The restroom has a J tiled on the floor - look for it! He-Man nostalgia playing on a computer monitor in the restroom with an amazing set of memorabilia.
My husband and I tried this place for dinner on Monday for our last night of our Providence trip. I checked out the menu online first and was super excited to try this place since it had some unique veggie options and it did not disappoint! We went shortly after they opened, so it was pretty quiet in there (a perk, personally). I had the smoked tofu salad, the tempeh sausage and the tofu karaage and they were fantastic. My husband had the fried chicken sandwich and fish fritters of which he was also a fan. The Bird Point cocktail was very good and unique. My only regret was not having an extra stomach to try more things! Shoutout to Vivian for the excellent service, as well! The restaurant itself also offers a whole bunch of fun visuals, too. Julian's will be a "must visit" on future Providence trips.
A recent Saturday brunch did not disappoint. Go early before the lines start on weekends -- and go hungry. Staff is all welcoming and attentive. Take your time browsing the huge menu! We ordered an omelet and a hash and eggs dish, with another specialty hash on the side to taste. Be sure to ask for the housemade ketchup! Prices were very fair for the quality and quantity of food. Fun and creative cocktail menu. Now about the place itself -- it's worth a visit just for exploring the decor, the wall art and memorabilia. Our tabletop was made from antique printing plates found in the neighborhood. And don't forget to go to the bathroom! Yes, my photo is one of the amazing figurine displays In. The. Bathroom. This particular street has so many restaurants to choose from, and if you can only choose one I'd recommend Julian's.
